Harriet Tubman... a legacy to all African Americans. Long ago there were many slaves in the south. They worked for their plantation owners. When they were just six years old they were able to work and be temporarily sold to different people. Many of those slaves dreamed of becoming a free man or woman. Harriet was one of them, a dreamer. So when she became free she decided to go back to the heavily black south to bring more slaves to freedom through the Underground Railroad.
